Upright Bio Microscopes

The Upright microscope is believed to have been invented by Zacharias Janssen, in approximately 1590. An Upright microscope is one that has the illumination system below the stage and the lens system above the stage.  “Bio” signifies that the upright Microscope has been optimized for viewing biological materials.
